Current Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez won a close race election officials in the country said Sunday night. The announcement was based on partial results from Sunday's election. 91 Sick in Meningitis Outbreak

The recent meningitis outbreak in the Univted States has left seven people dead and 91 sick. Federal Health officials have warmed that New England Compounding Center sold 17,676 vials of an unsafe steroid to pain clinics in 23 states. (Source)

Va. Supreme Court to hear case of shut-down Waterside bars

The Virginia Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments on whether the city illegally shut down two Waterside clubs in 2009. According to a court document, the court will decide whether the Circuit Court erred in its 2011 ruling that the City Council acted within "the scope of its lawful authority" when it voted to deny licenses to serve alcohol and provide entertainment for Bar Norfolk and Have a Nice Day Cafe and whether the businesses were given a "reasonable opportunity to be heard."
