Missouri family claims Powerball winnings

Mark and Cindy Hill of Dearborn, Mo., claimed their share of the $587.5 million Powerball jackpot on Friday at a press conference along with their children.. The couple randomly chose numbers through Quick Pick and were one of two winners in the Wednesday drawing. The other winning ticket was sold in Arizona; however, the buyer has not come forward yet. The Hills won $294 million and will take a lump sum payment, which totals about $192 million before taxes. (Source)

Fatal attack at Wyoming college rattles campus

According to police, at least three people were killed in a Friday morning attack at Casper College and in another undisclosed location in the town. Police say no suspects are at large and no on else was injured; other conflicting reports said one person was taken into custody and was injured and may have already died. The campus was temporarily locked down following the shooting just before 9 a.m. (Source)

USS Enterprise to be inactivated 

The world's first nuclear powered aircraft carrier, the USS Enterprise will be inactivated during a ceremony at the Naval Station Norfolk at 1 pm on Saturday after 51 years of service. The USS Enterprise returned from its last deployment on Nov. 4. (Source)
