Hamas: Truce with Israel to begin at midnight

A Hamas official said Tuesday that an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire in the Gaza conflict with Israel would go into effect at midnight local time. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had said earlier that he was open to a long-term deal. According to official reports, 126 Palestinians have died in a week of fighting, most of them civilians, including 27 children. (Source)

Hostess and union agree to mediation

Hostess has agreed to enter mediation talks with the the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers, and Grain Millers' International Union, thus averting the liquidation of the company. A bankruptcy judge in White Plains, N.Y., said the liquidation could not proceed until the two sides tried mediation first. (Source)

No charges against Little Monkies Daycare

Police have finished investigating a home day care where sheriff’s deputies initially found children napping in closets and have found no criminal wrongdoing by the caregivers.Child Protective Services also is investigating the situation at the daycare.  Little Monkies remains closed until the CPS investigation concludes.
