Dr. Robey earned his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC in 1980 after receiving his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC in 1976. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. He completed his residency at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, VA in 1985.
As a major in the United States Air Force, Dr. Robey served as staff urologist from 1985-1988. Since then he has been in private practice, as well as serving as assistant professor in the Department of Urology at EVMS in Norfolk, VA and faculty advisor at EVMS since 1988.
Dr. Robey is board certified by the American Board of Urology. As a urological surgeon, Dr. Robey has a special interest in minimally invasive urologic surgery, including the management of kidney stone disease and the care of enlarged prostate and men’s urination problems.
Dr. Robey enjoys seeing results. "I see a lot of patients with kidney stones. Today there are many innovations in noninvasive techniques. Now we can provide better management and treatment".
Dr. Robey enjoys spending time with his family, playing chess, the piano and kayaking. He is married with four daughters.
Dr. Robey is a member of the Medical Society of Virginia, Virginia Urological Society, and the American Medical Association.
