Prepare for Emergencies with a Pet First Aid Kit

I don’t know about you but I feel like I spend a lot of time in January unwinding from the holidays and trying to get organized for the New Year. This is the perfect month to make sure you have all your ducks in a row in case of an emergency, pets included! All of my important documents about Chuy are neatly organized into a binder that I can pick up and grab anytime in case of an emergency. I have the local emergency veterinarian hospitals loaded into my phone’s contact list along with Animal Poison Control. I also have these numbers on my fridge in case I can’t get to my phone quick enough.

Another way to be prepared for pet emergencies is to create a pet first aid kit. This is something you can neatly store in your closet or take in the car when your pet travels with you. There are some basic items that you’ll need in your pet first aid kit that I’ve included in this handy printable checklist:
