Sports - Cam Newton Leads Panthers to First Win
Cam Newton led the Carolina Panthers to their first win of the season despite torrential downpours late in the second half. The Panthers won 16-10 on a late fourth quarter touchdown pass from Newton to Greg Olsen.
After throwing consecutive 400 yard passing days, Newton completed 18-of-34 passes for 158 yards for the 1-2 Panthers. The touchdown came right before the half as Gabbert threw a 36 yard strike to Mike Thomas in the swamp conditions as timed expired.
