Williamsburg’s Blackbird Bakery

We confess: We are in love. We sneak off the main street and pop into this little place we know in Williamsburg where we lose ourselves in some tender, warm ... baked goods.

Blackbird Bakery, one piece of Chef David Everett’s Colonial Capitol culinary empire, is a jewel-box of a shop in Merchants Square conveniently located between his The Trellis and Blue Talon Bistro. (Everett also runs DoG Street Pub—more on them here.)

There are colossal cookies and long loaves of bread. There are too-cute cupcakes and truffles that are beyond terrific. Lots of specialty cakes are offered, including the iconic Death by Chocolate. The bakery is take-out only.

We always find something to get lost in love and are sure you will too.
