Virginia Living Museum Oyster Roast
All-you-can-eat fresh, local Rappahannock oysters take center stage at the Virginia Living Museum Oyster Roast, held at the Newport News facility on Nov. 14.
Also on the menu: fried seafood, chowder, sausages, a dessert buffet, craft beers, wine, gin and rum tasting. Williamsburg Distillery is providing tastings of the Jamestown Gin and Yorktown Rum (more on them here). There will be music and raffles, too.
All proceeds benefit the museum’s educational programs and animal care needs.
