Croc's Rosemary-Lemon Aroma-Tini

2 ounces vodka
1 teaspoon simple syrup or
confectionary sugar
3/4 ounce fresh-squeezed lemon juice
Ice cubes
Rosemary sprig


Mix the vodka, simple syrup or confectionary sugar and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice and shake well. Pour strained liquor into a sugar-rimmed martini glass and garnish with a rosemary sprig.

Note: to add more zing, try rosemary-infused vodka:
In three clean 250ml canning jars with lids, equally add the contents of a 750ml bottle of vodka; retain vodka bottle. Add one fresh, washed rosemary sprig to each and shake a few times. Seal tight and store in a cool, dark place for three to five days. Test the flavor of the infusion daily, beginning on the second day. Once the rosemary flavor is to taste, strain the vodka into a large bowl through a fine strainer or cheesecloth-lined strainer. Return to retained vodka bottle and store as you do other vodka.
