You Gotta Believe

My earliest reading memories take me back to three things: My first-grade school book that I wanted to show off to my grandmother visiting from Maryland, Judy Blume’s tween angst books and horoscopes. My day wasn’t complete unless I checked my horoscope in the newspaper, and I couldn’t go to the grocery store without checking every magazine for a monthly prediction.

Not much has changed. Just substitute “email,” where I now get a daily horoscope delivered, for “newspaper” and “online” for “grocery store” and “website” for “magazine” in the above sentence.
