McDonald's to go vegetarian?
McDonald’s will try to increase its presence in India when it opens its first and only meat-free location in the north of the country. While most McDonald’s franchises in India already serve a menu that includes fruits, vegetables, this will be an exclusively vegetarian restaurant. The new outlet will open near a Sikh temple in the city of Amritsar next year. (Source)

Bicylist dies in collision in Norfolk
A bicyclist died after being hit by a van this afternoon in the 6000 block of Northampton Blvd. near the overpass with Interstate 64. The man on the bicycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is currently under investigation. (Source)
President Obama ignites supporters at NSU
President Barack Obama wrapped up his "Road to Charlotte" tour on the campus of Norfolk State University. Virginia is Obama's last stop ahead of the Democratic National Convention in North Carolina. After leaving NSU, the president stopped at Norfolk Fire Station 14 and told the three firefighters and battalion chief that he had a case of White House beer for them. (Source)
