Apple introduces iPhone 5

Today Apple unveiled the much-awaited news that the iPhone 5 would be released on September 21. The new phone is the same width as the old one but taller and thinner. The added screen length gives the Home screen room for a fifth row of icons. Other upgrades to the phone include a faster processor with 4G LTE (faster Internet in select cities), an eight-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture and better battery life. (Source)

Libya attack likely to have been planned

U.S. officials believe that the attackers who stormed a U.S. Consulate in Libya, killing an American ambassador, may have terrorist links and were not solely members of a spontaneous mob demonstration. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers said there was a “high likelihood” that the attack had an affiliation with “al Qaeda elements in Libya.” (Source)

Virginia abortion inspection reports are unsatisfactory

The Family Foundation of Virginia has released state inspection reports for three Virginia abortion clinics detailing multiple health and safety violations. After obtaining the reports through the state’s open-records law, the conservative organization distributed them to media outlets today, two days before the Virginia Board of Health is scheduled to vote on new abortion clinic regulations.
