Stabbing inside MacArthur Center

A young man was stabbed Monday in MacArthur Center after allegedly getting into an argument with another man, as reported by Karen Parker-Chesson with the Norfolk Police. The police were dispatched to the second floor at around 1 p.m., and the victim was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The other male suspect was taken into custody. (Source)

Update: Suspect in Norfolk double homicide in custody

Javou Jameil Smith, 31, turned himself in on Monday for the murders of two men in Norfolk from the week before. Smith shot Ervin A. Peebles, 46 and Aalon Smith, 34 while the two men sat in a pickup truck on Friday, Mar. 15. Police have Smith in custody and urge any persons with information on the investigation to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. (Source)

Republicans unveil plan to broaden minority appeal

A new 98-page Growth and Opportunity Project report will attempt to reach new audiences for Republican representatives. The new project was urged by the party chairman Reince Priebus after the Republican party lost of the presidential election in November. The plan will cost approximately $10 million, and the party hopes it will help them reach minority and gay voters in the future. (Source)
