Something New: Brides Across America at Maya Couture
Military brides mark your calendar…
Maya Couture, one of the area’s top bridal shops, is honoring the men and women in the armed forces this November by participating in Brides Across America. On November 11, from 9 a.m.–7 p.m., Maya Couture will be donating wedding gowns to qualified military brides.
Founded by Heidi Janson, Brides Across America is a national, non-profit organization that connects military brides with bridal salons for the purpose of supporting our troops and their families. Janson knows that military brides aren’t always able to plan their dream wedding due to sudden deployments or financial reasons, so she started Brides Across America to help brides find the wedding gown of their dreams. For more information on Brides Across America, visit them at www.bridesacrossamerica.com.
Located in Norfolk, Maya Couture is more than just a bridal salon. It offers an intimate bridal experience, customized to each client. Consultants are available to help you choose your perfect gown and the salon features a bridal gown showroom, an excellent selection of bridesmaid dresses and tuxedos, and an alterations studio.
Each store participating in the Brides Across America giveaway will have a limited number of gowns in a range of sizes to give away. To qualify, either the bride or her fiancé need to be active duty military and served in either Iraq or Afghanistan between 2007 to present. Military ID and deployment papers will be required to verify qualifications. The gowns will be given away on a first-come, first-serve basis—be sure to get there early!
